Free AI room design · your real room · your things
See your room made calm — with your own things.
RoomCalm is a free AI room design tool that redesigns your room from one photo — not a fantasy showroom. It keeps your actual room, organizes your things, and shows you what it could feel like, plus exactly what to change.
WHAT ROOM IS THIS?
Stand back and capture the whole room in one shot — the more the AI can see, the better it redesigns.

Her photo

What she got back
Same room. Same window. Same light coming in.
This is the setting that goes all the way — it did replace the flat-pack. What it never touched is the room itself: the window is exactly where it was, the door is where it was, the proportions are hers, and her television is still there. The bare bulb became three layers of lamplight, the vertical blinds became floor-length linen, and the magnolia became a warm limewash.
Simple pricing: your first redesign is free. Then 25 redesigns for $9 (one-time) or unlimited for $15/mo. Cancel anytime. 14-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase. See what's included →
01Real rooms, real results
Most AI deletes your life.
We keep it.
- Your bed, your photographs, your books — recognised and kept, not replaced
- One ordinary phone photo of the room is the whole input
- Your first redesign is free, with no sign-up
Drag the slider. Look at what's still there.

Every photograph is still on the wall.
Same pictures, same frames, in the same arrangement above the bed. The wooden bed stayed, the white chest of drawers stayed, the bedside table stayed. What went is the washing on the bed, the box on the floor and the tangle of cables on the dresser. What arrived is dressed bedding, a lamp where there was none, a rug on the bare carpet, and a small plaster shade instead of the hard ceiling light.
Three rooms so far: a bedroom, a living room, a home office. Kitchens and bathrooms run fine in the product. We haven't published a pair for them yet, so there isn't one on this page.
02The control nobody else gives you
Decide how much of your room
gets to stay.
One photo, one room, four settings. Slide the handle and watch how far the engine is allowed to go.

The room as it actually is. Clean, perfectly ordinary, and never designed.
One room, one brief, only the intensity changed — each frame held to the same rule the engine follows at that setting. There is a fifth setting in the product, Blank Slate, that empties the room down to the walls. We haven't put a frame for it here yet.
03Shop this look
It doesn't just show you the room.
It knows what's in it.
- Every piece it adds comes back named the way it actually looks — not as a category
- Pinned to the exact spot it's sitting in, so you can find it in the picture
- A typical price band on each one, and a running total for the room

- 1. Black round mirror with thin frame$45–$170
- 2. Cream linen duvet cover and pillow shams$30–$100
- 3. Black ceramic base table lamp with natural linen shade$15–$60
Nothing is pinned to the wall above the bed. Those photographs are hers — the redesign didn't add them, so it doesn't try to sell them back to her.
The 3 pieces above, at the Saver setting: $90–$330 for the whole room.
Typical ranges, not live prices. On your own redesign each piece carries a link to find it — RoomCalm may earn a commission from those, at no extra cost to you.

three answers.
- One room, three complete redesigns — not three colour swaps
- Same window, same doorway, same proportions: it is still your room
- Each concept comes with its own palette and its own shopping list

The plan,
not just the picture.
- A lumen target for the room's size — 2,700 lm here, spread over 3 sources at 2700–3000K
- Run the rug 18–24" beyond the sides and foot of the bed so your feet land on softness. Under a queen, that's usually an 8×10; a king, a 9×12.
- The designer rules that apply to your room type, in numbers you can measure
Not shown yet
The paint schedule. Our colour matcher reads a photograph's exposure as if it were the paint's reflectance, so it can call a cream wall a dark green. It ships when that's fixed — not before.
07Fit Check
Two photos in.
One honest answer out.
- The thing you're about to buy, and the room you'd put it in
- Checked separately for size, for colour and for style
- It is allowed to tell you no — and here, it did

Verdict
Close call
This mustard chair could work with careful placement and styling.
- Size worksAt 76cm wide, this armchair would fit nicely to the left of your sofa, allowing for comfortable clearance.
- Colour worksThe mustard yellow introduces a warm accent that complements the wooden tones and natural palette of your room.
- Style doesn’tThe vintage-inspired tufted velvet style of this armchair clashes with your room's softer, natural, and slightly Scandinavian aesthetic.
Tip: If you do get it, place it to the left of the sofa, angled slightly towards the coffee table to create a cozy conversation nook.

Score any room out of 100,

“That rug is sweet, but it looks like a postage stamp trying to hold down a gymnasium floor.”
That is the real score on the photo at the top of this page. Look at the three bars rather than the total: it scores 85 for clutter, because the room genuinely is tidy. What it loses is light and cohesion — the room was never messy, it was just never designed. Free, and no account needed.

The method
Great rooms aren't luck — they're design science
A room changes how you feel, and that isn't a mystery — it's measurable. Clutter quietly raises stress hormones. Natural light is the single biggest driver of mood. The right proportions, the 60-30-10 balance of color, layered lighting at three heights, a large rug that anchors the space — these are the rules a great interior designer spends years learning. RoomCalm has them built in, and applies them to your room in seconds.

Feeling first
We start from how you want the room to feel — then choose the style that delivers it, not the other way round.
Your room, kept real
Your architecture and belongings stay. We organize, restyle and add only what the room genuinely needs.
What to actually change
Every redesign comes with a plain-English coach: what's holding the room back and what to do this weekend.
The styles we speak
One engine, every design language
RoomCalm knows the difference between calm and cold, cozy and cluttered — and matches your room to the style that fits the life you live in it.

Questions, answered
How does RoomCalm design my room?+
You tell us how you want the room to feel — calmer, cozier, more alive — and our design engine translates that feeling into the right style, color palette, lighting and layout. Then it restyles a photo of your actual room, keeping your walls, windows and the things you love.
Will it keep my furniture and belongings?+
Yes. Unlike tools that delete everything into an empty showroom, RoomCalm organizes and features your things — it's a redesign of your real room, not a replacement of your life. You choose how far it goes: a light refresh, a makeover, or a full redesign.
Do I need any design knowledge?+
None at all. You answer three plain questions about how you want the room to feel and what it's for. The design expertise — color theory, scale, lighting, spatial flow — is built into the engine.
Is it free to try?+
Your first redesign is free, no signup needed. After that you can buy a one-time credit pack or an unlimited monthly plan, and cancel anytime.
What rooms can I redesign?+
Living rooms, bedrooms, home offices, kitchens and bathrooms. Each room type uses specialist design rules — a kitchen keeps its appliances and gets styled worktops; a bathroom becomes spa-like without touching the plumbing.
