Choosing a wall color without regretting it
Paint is the cheapest big change you can make to a room and the one people get wrong most often — because a two-inch chip in a shop tells you almost nothing about how a color behaves across a whole wall, in your light, next to your furniture.
Color is also one of the four things that decide how calm a room feels, along with the light, the clutter, and whether anything in the room is alive. Wall color is the one that pulls hardest on cohesion — whether everything in the room looks like it belongs together — which is why changing it can settle a room that felt restless for years.
Two habits worth keeping: look at the color at night under your own lamps, not just in daylight, and hold it against the largest thing in the room rather than a white background. A color that fights your sofa will keep fighting it.

How does it know where my walls are?
A vision model runs inside your browser and reads the room as objects — it tells a wall apart from the ceiling, the sofa, the window and your artwork, then colors only the walls. It isn't perfect on every photo, so you can paint any area in or out by hand afterwards.
Is my photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The photo never leaves your device. The wall detection and the recoloring both happen in your browser, which is also why the tool is free and unlimited — there is no server doing the work.
Why does the color still look like paint and not a flat sticker?
Because we keep your room's own light. Every pixel holds on to its original brightness and only the color is swapped, so shadows, corners and the falloff from your window all survive. That's the difference between a visualization you can trust and a colored-in shape.
Can I use the color at a paint store?
Yes — copy the hex code and any decent paint counter can mix or match it, whichever brand you prefer. One honest warning: screens vary, so always buy a tester pot and look at it on your own wall, in your own light, before committing to a room.
It picked the wrong area. Can I fix it?
Tap to select is the fastest fix — tap any wall and the whole surface is added in one go, stopping at door frames, picture edges and the ceiling line. For finer work, Select manually paints areas in and Unselect takes them out with an adjustable brush. The back and forward arrows under the photo undo and redo every step.
Do I need an account?
No. The visualizer is free and unlimited with no sign-up, because it runs entirely on your device and costs us nothing to serve. An account is only needed for Precise, the paid repaint.
What is Precise, and do I need it?
The free tool tints the walls it managed to select, so anything it misreads stays misread. Precise skips the selection entirely and repaints the room, so the new color bounces onto your ceiling and floor, doors and trim keep their own color, and a mirror shows the painted wall. It regenerates the photo, so it's a photoreal preview rather than your exact original pixels — most people never need it.
How is this different from a paint brand's visualizer?
Most brand tools ask you to outline the walls yourself, or use a flood fill that leaks onto the ceiling and trim, and several require an account first. This detects the walls for you, keeps your room's real light so the color behaves like paint, and gives you the hex code to take to any brand's paint counter rather than steering you to one range.
